Area Sales Manager
Mike’s role is to identify new business and maintain and grow existing business. This is done through a balance of customer visits and working to plan, enabling maximum growth to achieve Sales Forecasts.
He has worked for Contego since 2012. Prior to this he worked for Bunzl Greenham for 25 years, which is where he learnt ‘the trade’ and gained a wealth of industry knowledge. The experience also gave him a fantastic base knowledge of what customers’ needs and wants are and what Contego could do to exceed them.
He added: “During my time there, I developed strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers that I use daily at Contego to ensure we can source the right items for customers.
“I have always enjoyed meeting new potential customers – gaining trust and rapport to win their first order and then building an enduring relationship.
“I like the fact that, at Contego, we have the backup required to meet our customer’s needs. I can confidently offer customers a service and a product, without the fear that I will end up with egg on my face for over selling!”
